(1) Tell us about your current profession and what your work involves:
I am the Founder and Executive Director of A Place at the Table, Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can cafe.
(2) Share about how you contribute to the community or about any volunteer service or interests that you have
I have the best job in the world! I get to love on people all day over coffee and good food. A Place at the Table provides community and good food for all regardless of means. We see people from all over coming in to get a meal. Our cafe has provided over 20,000 meals since opening in January 2018.
(3) Your passion – What is your “Why?” Why do you get out of bed each morning?
PEOPLE. I love people. I wake up excited to see all of my people and meet new people every single day. I feel so lucky.
