August 31, 2016 by Zankhna Parekh - No Comments

For years now, having grey hair was the sign of an elderly or ageing woman. Most articles and popular magazines suggest the top ways to get rid of that pesky color before anyone questions how old you really are. Now, instead of plucking out grey hairs, the latest trend has become to go for a full silver mane. This might sound crazy to some, but grey hair is a surprisingly edgy look that can make you seem youthful and on-trend. Read on ahead to see how you can rock this look!

Fair Skin

Lucky for you, pulling off grey hair is an easy feat. Fair skin works great with grey hair, and it’s really up to you if you want an ombre effect or even platinum locks. Choose a grey hue with darker undertones like the one above, and accentuate your natural eyebrows with this brow tint and nude lipstick.

Olive Skin

With your naturally tan skin, grey hair is sure to bring out your best features. Try a nearly-white look like Nicole Richie to make your look pop, or a grey with blue undertones to make the look more wearable for work. Add some bronzer to make your tan skin really glow, and finish off the look with this shiny eyeshadow!

Medium Skin

For a darker skin tone, it’s best to go for a light ombre effect, with purple or pink being ideal candidates to mix with silver dye. Let your hair take the stage for this look, and keep things simple with a highlighter and light lip gloss.

Dark Skin

The key here is to keep the grey as dark as possible, or the silver shade may end up looking a little too striking. Blend silver and black together with an ombre effect, and feel free to up the drama with this mascara and nail polish!

Too much? Try going easy on the grey!
If these looks seem a little drastic, or you want to try grey hair without the commitment, there are always other options! Try hair chalk for something temporary, or add these varying ombre effects to get on the grey bandwagon without going completely silver.
