1. Pumpkin Patch. A classic but always a joy – visiting a pumpkin patch each year is a great tradition to start this Fall and you can continue on for years to come. 2. Apple Picking. If you are an apple lover, apple picking is the ideal activity for some weekend fun. Once you have your apples, it is time to start cooking. A popular apple picking spot is Grandad’s Apples n’ Such in Hendersonville, NC. Grandad’s has a variety of activities to do with the family in addition to apple picking. They offer hay rides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and an awesome bakery for you to indulge in. 3. Decorate for the Season. Getting your pumpkin for the season is just the start to creating cozy Fall decor. Decorating for the upcoming Fall holidays including Halloween and Thanksgiving is a great way to have the entire family work together to help around the house. 4. Corn Maze. An awesome activity if you want to be up and on your feet is to visit your local corn maze. A corn maze is not only fun and challenging, but a great workout as you could be walking for a long period of time. With the beautiful weather during Fall season, enjoying a walk is a great excuse. A popular maze to visit this October is Ken’s Korny Maze located in Garner NC. Ken’s is North Carolina’s first and longest running corn maze and offers a 6 acre maze. 5. Farmer’s Market. In the mood for some shopping? Your local farmer’s market is the perfect place to get all your fresh produce this Fall. Not only do farmers’ markets offer veggies and fruits, but also flowers, pumpkins, pastries, and so many other goodies you wouldn’t expect. The farmer’s market is also super fun to just window shop and soak in the Fall air and beautiful colors of the produce!
