2 Thriller. If you are looking for a good thrill, Bird Box is a Netflix original you need to watch! When it released in 2018 it was all the rage and left a strong impact on viewers. This film features Sandra Bullock and her fight against a dangerous force that you can’t look at, or you’ll die! Bird Box is rated R so it’s a great movie for a date night or a night when the kids are asleep early. Make it feel like you are at the theater and grab your favorite candy or even make a homemade slushie.

3 Timeless musical. The Sound of Music is truly an oldie but a goldie! This film is full of beautiful scenery and music. Julie Andrews plays a governess for the 7 Von Trapp children and falls in love with the widowed father. The sound of music is also based on a true story and is so very heartwarming. It is rated G, so it is perfect for family movie night with all ages. Make some buttery popcorn and call it a movie night!

4 Comical Mystery. Knives Out is a fairly new movie that has received great reviews. This 2019 flick is a murder mystery about the death of novelist Harlan Thrombey and the quest to find the criminal, with all suspects being family members. This film is packed with well known stars such as Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis and Chris Evans. Knives Out is rated PG-13 so it is a great film for the parents and older kids. 5 Heartwarming Animation. If you are looking for a feel good kids movie, Up is the perfect choice! Up is about the adventure of Carl Fredricksen, 78-year-old balloon salesman, and Russell, a young boy scout, and their journey through South America. This film is rated PG and is perfect for the kids and the parents. Up is available on Disney+ and to rent on Amazon or iTunes.
