(1) Tell us about your current profession and what your work involves. I am the CEO of Keaton Barrow Realty, Inc. I currently have offices in both Raleigh and Charlotte NC. We provide services in residential and commercial real estate. Our company goal is to help families create generational wealth while creating a legacy. We provide first time home buyer educational workshops to ensure that families and individuals create a firm foundation. We provide relocation services and assist those in building homes from the ground up. Our luxury home clients are always provided professional service and expert advice. Businesses owners and non-profit organizations rely on our research and knowledge to help them find commercial spaces that fit their needs.
(2) Share about how you contribute to the community or about any volunteer service or interests that you have. Philanthropy is my passion. I am currently on the board for the Wake County Community Foundation, The United Minority Contractors of North Carolina and PAVE Charter School. I am a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Raleigh. I am a current member of the Women’s Impact Fund in Charlotte, a giving circle that donates to non-profits yearly. Some of the non-profits that I support are listed below. My goal for 2019 was to donate monthly to organizations that provide food to the community such as the Food Bank of NC. I also donated directly to churches that have programs that provide food and meals. I also support the following organizations; 100 Black Men of Charlotte, EmpowHERment, The Levine Children’s Hospital, The Helping Hand Mission, St Augustine’s University, CDC, The Links, Inc of Durham, Triangle Uplift Foundation, Passage Home, Inc.,The Garner Road Community Center and the Harvey B. Gantt Center in Charlotte.
(3) Your passion – What is your “Why?” Why do you get out of bed each morning? My “why’ is to encourage, enlighten and empower as many people as I can! My children, Azariah and Moriah, are a huge party of my why as well. I want everyone to be able to enjoy life and have each day filled with peace and harmony. I arise each morning grateful to have the privilege to have a chance at a new day filled with pure potential. I look forward to giving and receiving smiles and enjoying the opportunities that are always just around the corner or through the next door that I open.
