Top Five Fall Fashion Trends
Fall is around the corner and if you need ideas on what key pieces to invest in and be on trend then read on. From New York to the streets of Paris, we are breaking down the top five fall fashion trends from the Autumn/Winter 14/15 shows. Fabrics, colors, and accessories are making a statement and the catwalks have delivered the must have fall coats.
1. Statement Bags
This fall look for bags in shades of pink, with words or slogans, embellished with beading or jewels, fringe, and mini bags. If you just want to add a little something fun to an already existing bag, add a fur bag charm and you are sure to fit in with these fabulous Paris Fashion Week street styles.
2. Fur and Shearling
Fur hit the runway with full force this past fashion week. We saw fur in every color, pattern, and in every show. The more fur the better in vests, coats, and bags. Keep it classy and pair it with winter whites and grays, or take a cue from Libertine and mix patterns and colors. Shearling is also having a moment this fall. Look for it in vests, coats, and jackets like the Marc Jacobs one pictured on the right.
3. Fringed and Fabulous
Who knew fringe could be so sophisticated? Fringed gowns, skirts, bags, and even pants are adding some flare to fall. Fringed bags are already being spotted on the most fashionable and will be a must have for fall!
4. The New Plaid
Plaid came to us this year in rare form, oversized with bold colors in capes, coats and more.
5. Emerald City
No doubt about the color for the 2014 fall season, this year the statement color is emerald in every texture and textile. Other key colors of fall are soft pinks, camel, gray tones, and winter whites.
